Omar Ibn Al Khattab , the 2nd caliph of Islam was given the title of امیر ال مؤمنین (AMEER UL MU’MINEEN) which translates to “Leader of the believers”. He was an undefeated ruler who conquered present-day Iraq, Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, and parts of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and south western Pakistan.
